Residents protest proposed juvenile detention area

Baychester residents joined a city councilman to protest a juvenile detention center in their neighborhood Thursday afternoon.
The facility is part of the state Close to Home program, which lets convicted juvenile delinquents stay close to home so families can be involved in their rehabilitation. Construction is almost completed, according to Councilman Andy King.
