Rev. Bruce Rivera Says Andy King Is...

Rev. Bruce Rivera and Democrat for City Council Andy King
At the recent B.U.L.B event here in the Bronx, Mr. King ran into Rev. Bruce Rivera where the two exchanged greetings and a quick chat, and out of that chat what rang out loud and clear from Rev. Rivera was "Andy King Is The Right Man For The Job In City Council". If you don't know Andy King is a Democrat and a life long resident of the 12th District in the Bronx running for New York City Council to represent the 12th District. King has been getting a number of endorsements, and it seems that others have the same feelings that Rev. Rivera has about Mr. King. Here are a few endorsers for Andy King.

Andy King Supports Paid Sick Leave...

25 City Council Hopefuls Sign Off On Support For Paid Sick Leave Legislation

BY Celeste Katz

A batch of City Council hopefuls have signed letters such as the one below in favor of paid sick days legislation, marking one more group adding its voice to the chorus of those who want to see the worker-friendly proposal get to the Council floor.

"Income inequality in New York City is getting worse and poverty is on the rise. I'm running for City Council because I think we can do much more to improve the lives of working class New Yorkers," said Jesus Gonzalez, one of the signatories who brings the campaigns's council-candidate backers to 25 in a push to pressure Council Speaker (and likely 2013 mayoral hopeful) Christine Quinn... (Critics, as I reported in January and since, say the bill would harshly burden struggling small business owners).

Twenty-three candidates signed the letter published here: Yetta Kurland, Mark Thompson, Benjamin Kallos, Debra Cooper, Mel Wymore, Helen Rosenthal, Marc Landis, Mark Levine, Cheryl Pahaham, Mark Otto, John Duane, Andy King, Ocynthia Williams, Raquel Batista, Kirsten Foy, Ernest Flowers, Carlos Sierra, Donovan Richards, Jacques Leandre, Antonio Reynoso, Ede Fox, Jesus Gonzalez, Mercedes Narcissre. Two candidates, Costa Constantinides and Corey Johnson, signed separate personal letters with their own wording.

Domenic M. Recchia Jr Endorses Andy King

Domenic M. Recchia, Jr
District 47 - Council Member - Democrat
Domenic M. Recchia, Jr. is the City Council Member for the 47th District, which comprises Coney Island, Bensonhurst, Brighton Beach and Gravesend. He is the chairman of the City Council’s Committee on Finance.

Councilman Domenic M. Recchia came all the way to the 12th District to show his support to Democratic candidate Andy King. The councilman and Mr.King sat for an hour discussing the issues in the 47th District and the 12th, they both had nothing but kind words expressed for one another and at the end of the meeting they also had one common goal and thats to make New York City and their districts better places for New Yorkers to live.

Andy King says he is proud to have the support of Councilman Recchia, and GOD willing, King looks forward to working with him in City Council.
